Brewhouse
Yard, Nottingham
This award winning scheme for
the City Council sought to regenerate an area of great
historic importance; preserving the historic fabric of the
buildings through conversion to a modern use (a museum)
whilst ensuring the success of the space for future
generations.
The
"Yard" was closed off from the public and the environs
left to rack and ruin
The
scheme for the soft landscaping sought to bring a fresh
green space into the very heart of the city whilst the
selection of quality hard landscaping materials adds to the
enduring and timeless quality of the space. Trees species
were selected to add to the majestic feel of this civic
space which is now once again at the centre of the
community life.
