The
client brief for this project sought to integrate a garage
at the side of the existing dwelling in order to free up
more space in the rear garden and explore the possible
accommodation that could be achieved in the attic space.
The solution that Munro Associates produced in close
consultation with the client saw the rear of the house
rearranged to create an open plan living, dining, kitchen
space along with the integration of a garage along the side
of the house. Furthermore a new staircase was proposed in
the centre of the house to open up a large amount of
accommodation in a newly constructed roofspace.
